Are you recovering from religious trauma? You’re not alone.

SINNER is a raw, hilarious, and unflinching one-woman musical tragicomedy about breaking up with White Jesus. Through laughter, storytelling, and song, Marla Torgerson invites the audience on a journey of deconstruction—of church, family, sexuality, and identity—exposing the painful absurdities of evangelical patriarchy with wit, vulnerability, and a choir of Barbie-pink rage.

Written and performed by Marla, this powerful show weaves biting satire, heartbreaking memoir, and original music into a bold, tender reclamation of voice and Self.

Each workshopping performance includes a post-show circle for audience members to share, reflect, and integrate. This is more than theatre—it’s a space to connect, feel seen, and maybe even begin to heal.

Come for the comedy. Stay for the catharsis.
