  • Sunday Talk: I Don’t Wanna!
    Sunday Talk: I Don’t Wanna!

Hi all. Dr. Pat here. My talk for Sunday, August 9, is “I Don’t Wanna!” Sometimes, when we are presented with a practice or suggestion that would be good for us, our initial reaction is to say, “I don’t wanna.” And yet, when we do it, things change for the better. Join me for a conversation of one such practice, and how it can truly be “life changing.” Plus, Rev. Darlene Chase will be providing the meditation and Spiritual Mind Treatment. And of course, our always amazing music with the CCSL band.

Hi all. The talk title for Sunday, July 26, is “I Am a Part of IT.” In order for us to belong, we have to learn that it is not happening on a whim, but rather, by a Law that is set in motion by each individual. Therefore, can we look at what is happening right now as the best thing that ever happened to us?     Join Rev.…

Sunday Talk: An Antidote to Judgment

Hi all. Dr. Pat here. My talk for Sunday, July 19, is “An Antidote to Judgment.” As the world continues to be so divided, we can spend a lot of time in judgment of others. Unfortunately, this is a pretty “low vibration” place to be. Join me as we discuss an antidote that will raise the vibration — personally and collectively. Another surefire antidote to the times is the music…

Message from Dr. Pat Campbell, Calgary CSL

Hi all. I was asked to write something uplifting this week, in light of the world’s events. Usually writing uplifting pieces comes pretty easily to me. However, I found it particularly challenging, because, like many of you, I was caught up in the world of effect at this time. So I went to my go-to book by Ernest Holmes, the founder of our teaching. I love all of his writings,…

Racism in the United States. Centers for Spiritual Living calls for it to end! We are grieving lives that ought not to have been lost. George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, are the most recent in a list of countless unarmed African-American and Black people who have been murdered for the color of their skin over the past 400 years in the US. Too many generations have suffered and…

The Sanctuary

Weekly Meditation and Sunday Celebration with Message and Music are held in the sanctuary with comfortable chairs for around 150 people.

Everyone is welcome here: young, old, single, families, people from all styles of life and interests. We value diversity and inclusion. All faiths are welcome as we honour and practice spiritual truths from all faith traditions and philosophies. This is the place where we can gather to remember that with the Power of the One Mind, all things are possible, and to celebrate the awareness of good in our lives. This is a place where we care for each other as friends and companions.  We welcome you to come and check us out and make this your spiritual home.

We offer a variety of registered courses, in both accredited Science of Mind courses, and some based on popular self-help books by amazing authors like Deepak Chopra, and Joe Dispenza.

Courses cover a range of topics, such as: positive thinking, mind, body, spirit connection, prosperity, mental and physical healing, transcendental thinkers, and traditional meditation, just to name a few.

Registered courses are between 6-10 weeks, and are generally held once a week in the evening from 6:30 to 9pm. They are facilitated primarily by our own amazing spiritual teachers. Some home study and practice is expected, such as reading of published books and supplemental materials, thought exercises, journaling, and meditation. Taking a course is a great way to improve your life, heal and grow, and get to know people on a deeper level.

Come and be part of something bigger, make connections and grow in community. Courses are priced around $250 with some courses offering financial assistance, depending on circumstances. If you are not sure if you are ready to commit to a multi-week course, ask the facilitator if you can try a drop in session for a small fee.

Two or three-hour workshops are occasionally offered on a Sunday afternoon or other time. Check our calendar for details.

"Dr. Pat is great, caring, genuine, warm, funny, and a great teacher of this philosophy."

  • Treatment by Dr.Pat during COVID-19 Pandemic
Treatment by Dr.Pat during COVID-19 Pandemic

Just as surely as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, the Infinite Intelligence of the Divine is present in all things. This same Intelligence knows Itself and expresses Itself through everything, everywhere, at all times, no exceptions. Even in the midst of seeming chaos, there is orderliness and perfection back of it.   It is expressing Itself through me. It lives me. It breathes me. I am one with It. No separation. Only Oneness. What is true for me, is also true for everyone and everything. We are Life expressing, uniquely, wholly, and absolutely.   […]

What is Spiritual Mind Treatment?

At Centres for Spiritual Living we use Spiritual Mind Treatment, a powerful method of connecting with Spirit and using positive thinking affirmations, to create the life we desire. Treatment uses thought to set the Creative Process into motion. Similar to cognitive behavioural therapy, it is a powerful method for creating the life you want and for healing any aspect of your life.  It is a direct, focused, and organized method using five steps to get to your desired outcome:

Those steps include:

  • Recognition (Recognizing Spirit is All)
  • Unification (I am One with Everything)
  • Realization (Affirming my desired good)
  • Thanksgiving (Gratitude for this knowing)
  • Release (Trust the Process of the Universe)

You can do this type of positive thinking treatment for yourself or have a minister or practitioner treat for you and help you write your own treatments in your own words. Contact support@calgarycsl.org treatment. You can also take classes in Science of Mind and learn how to do treatment for yourself and others.

“All the power of the Universe is with you. Feel it, know it, and then act as though it were true.”

- Ernest Holmes
