Coming Up This Sunday

  • Sunday Talk – “Waking Up!”
    Sunday Talk – “Waking Up!”

Dr. Pat’s talk for Sunday, October 6, is “Waking Up.” (Not to be confused with being “woke.”) We will be talking about some of the different signs that we are “waking up” to our true selves. It should be an interesting and inspiring conversation. The morning meditation, facilitated by Practitioner Lucille Worone, begins at 10:00 a.m MDT, and our Sunday Celebration starts at 10:30 with music by Elevation! Our LoveStream (online live Service viewing) is available on our website, on Facebook and our YouTube channel.

The Sanctuary

Weekly Meditation and Sunday Celebration with Message and Music are held in the sanctuary with plenty of comfortable seating.

Everyone is welcome here: young, old, singles, families, people from all styles of life and interests. We value diversity and inclusion. All faiths are welcome as we honour and practice spiritual truths from many traditions and philosophies. This is the place where we can gather to remember that within the One Power all things are possible and to celebrate the awareness of all the good in our lives. This is a place where we care for each other as friends and companions.  We welcome you to come and check us out and make this your spiritual home.

Fun in the Sanctuary

We offer a variety of registered courses, in both philosophy of the teaching and others based on popular books by amazing authors like Deepak Chopra, and Joe Dispenza.

Courses cover a range of topics, such as: positive thinking; mind, body, spirit connection; prosperity; mental and physical healing; transcendental thinkers, and traditional meditation.  Just to name a few.

Registered courses are between 6-10 weeks, and are generally held once a week in the evening from 6:30 to 9pm. They are facilitated primarily by our own amazing spiritual teachers. Some home study and practice is expected, such as reading of published books and supplemental materials, thought exercises, journaling, and meditation. Taking a course is a great way to improve your life, heal and grow, and get to know people on a deeper level.

Come and be part of something bigger, make connections and grow in community. Course costs vary.

If you are not sure that you are ready to commit to a multi-week course, ask the facilitator if you can drop-in first to check it out.

Two or three-hour workshops are occasionally offered on a Sunday afternoon or other times. Check our calendar for details.

Formerly the Calgary Centre for Positive Living, we changed our name 10 years ago and moved from 17th Ave SW nearly as long ago!

What is Spiritual Mind Treatment?

At Centres for Spiritual Living we use Spiritual Mind Treatment, a powerful method of connecting with Spirit and using positive thinking affirmations, to create the life we desire and deserve. Treatment uses thought to set the Creative Process into motion. Similar to cognitive behavioural therapy, it is a powerful method for creating the life you want and for healing any aspect of your life.  It is a direct, focused, and organized method using five steps to get to your desired outcome:

Those steps include:

  • Recognition (Recognizing Spirit is All)
  • Unification (I am One with Everything)
  • Realization (Affirming my desired good)
  • Thanksgiving (Gratitude for this knowing)
  • Release (Trust the Process of the Universe)

You can do this type of positive thinking treatment for yourself or have a minister or practitioner treat for you and help you write your own treatments in your own words. Contact supportandtreatment@calgarycsl.org treatment. You can also take classes in Science of Mind and learn how to do treatment for yourself and others.
