Sunday Talk: Love is Love

Hi all. Dr. Pat here. My topic for Sunday, June 28, is “Love is Love.” As our founder, Dr. Ernest Holmes, wrote, “Love is the grandest healing and drawing power on earth.” Join me as we revel in that grand, healing power.   You will also have the opportunity to witness the marriage of two of our wonderful members, Ron Hahn and his beloved, David Vallee, during the service! How special! In addition, the band will be in the house, and the morning meditation will be facilitated by Licensed Spiritual Practitioner Tracey Peterson.

Pride Committee Thanks Logo Contestants

The Pride Committee wishes to thank all the artists who submitted sketches to the Pride Logo Contest. There were 15 submissions and on June 2nd, all the ideas were reviewed individually by the committee in a blind process (they did not know who the artists were). The submissions were all so interesting and we are grateful for contestants’ input. We did select a concept and are now proceeding to have it put in a graphic form professionally, which will be unveiled along with the artist’s name during Pride Week, Aug 30 to Sept 6th. Thanks again to all contestants for […]

Sunday Talk: Many Names

Hi all. Dr. Pat here. My talk for Sunday, June 14, is “Many Names.” One of the things that keeps people from embracing spirituality is an old, out-dated idea of “God.” Join me in a divine exercise, as we explore and embrace the many names for It. Message from Dr. Pat Campbell, Calgary CSL

Hi all. I was asked to write something uplifting this week, in light of the world’s events. Usually writing uplifting pieces comes pretty easily to me. I love all of his writings, but “This Thing Called You” is my fave. I rifled through it, looking for something to bring me peace and inspiration. The following did it for me. I hope it […]

Message on Racism from Dr. Edward Viljeon, Spiritual Leader of Centers for Spiritual Living

Racism in the United States. Centers for Spiritual Living calls for it to end! We are grieving lives that ought not to have been lost. George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, are the most recent in a list of countless unarmed African-American and Black people who have been murdered for the color of their skin over the past 400 years in the US. Too many generations have suffered and it has never been, and is not now, acceptable. We denounce racism in all its forms: the starkness of unapologetic, intentional racism; the racism of silence in the face of […]

Sunday Talk: PTSG Post Traumatic Stress GROWTH

The talk for Sunday, June 7, is “PTSG.” If it looks like I made a typo for another well-known acronym (PTSD), I didn’t. This is a very interesting concept that might shed some light on recent events, and also offer some understanding of how your life/my life “got to be the way it is.” Join me, practitioner Pheli Dlamini, and our absolutely incredible CCSL band for a wonderful morning of “virtual” community.
